Thought

Thought is cognition, thinking, idea, opinion, belief, to name a few synonyms.

In the early 1800’s French physician, Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said, “Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are.”

Buddha said, “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think….”

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.”  ~Mahatma Gandhi

Thoughts, emotions and feelings come and go as they please.  We do not have control of this dynamic.  However there is an essential key to managing the stressful aspects of this process, don’t entertain the negative energies.

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: therefore, guard accordingly, and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.”  ~Marcus Aurelius

Fear is a powerful part of human experience.  It can save life or destroy life.  Lurking beneath worry, frustration, depression and anger, fear is usually found.  We can choose to entertain fear, worry, anger and other negative energetic emotions or we can choose faith; we can choose to entertain positive energies.

Bills are due and money is short, fear and worry move right in and begin stealing confidence, trust and peace of mind.  Catch them, and throw them out!

“A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes.  It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.”  ~Wade Boggs

Taking charge of thought dynamics demands commitment.  It is hard work, especially as it seems so much easier to surrender to the negative.   However, this work pays great dividends.   Good health, contentment, happiness, peace of mind, enhanced quality of life, personal fulfillment, joy and laughter to name a few.

This week I invite you to entertain positive thinking.  Do it regally; treat it with abiding love and respect…treat it as your most prized possession.

Blessings!
